Evaluations On the last day of each session, instructors will evaluate skaters to determine if they are ready to graduate to the next level. Each skater will receive an evaluation form that shows if they "pass" or if their skills "need work". Skaters who pass can purchase a badge for that level, and they will be placed in the next level for the new session. Frequently skaters need more than one session to master all the skills in a level, especially in the higher levels. Each skater works at their own pace. We will graduate them when they are ready. On occasion, a skater may move up early in the session if he/she is ready to go to the next level. |

Extra Help To help a skater who is struggling with a skill or a level, or to make faster progress, consider extra practice sessions. There are public skating sessions almost every day at Perry. Or, consider a private lesson or two with an instructor. It is a known fact that the more time a skater spends on the ice practicing, the faster the skills will come. |

Private Lessons Feel free to talk to any of our program instructors to arrange a time and discuss fees. |

Want to Compete? There are several competitions in the area for skaters in the basic skills classes, even Tiny Tots and beginner adults. The competitions are fun opportunities to perform to music and win medals or other prizes. Talk to your instructor or click on the Competitions button. |

Considering New Skates? To avoid expensive mistakes, please talk to an instructor before purchasing your own skates. They will help you choose the correct size and model, and a good place to purchase them. Some used skates are also available from club members. |
