above: The cast of SISC’s annual show 2023, “Skatin’ to the 80’s”
The 2022-23 show, sanctioned by US Figure Skating, was presented Saturday, February 25, 2023. We offered one show, combining both the LTS classes and club members, skating to the theme of The 80’s. It was a rockin’ evening of great songs of that decade!
We now turn our focus to this year’s show, titled “Sycamore on Broadway” (sanctioned by US Figure Skating). The date for the show is February 24, 2024, starting at 4:00 pm.
The schedules below reflect this year’s probable timeline. As we prepare for the show, it will be adjusted accordingly.
PLANNED SCHEDULE :
February 24 – show practice, dress rehearsal, pictures:
Come dressed in costume as you will for the show
- 10:20 a.m. to 11:50 p.m.: Club session (and set-up for some decorations)
- 11:50 to 12:20 p.m.: Program run-throughs for specialty class, adult LTS
- 12:20 to 12:50 p.m.: Program run-throughs for Snowplow, Basic 1
- 12:50 to 1:20 p.m.: Program run-throughs for Basic 2, Basic 3, Basic 4, Basic 5/6
- 1:20 to 1:50 p.m.: Program run-throughs for Pre-Free Skate, Free Skate 1-5
- 11:50-2:00 pm: Group pictures off-ice
February 24: SHOW TIME
- 12:00 p.m.: finishing decorating for show
- 3:00 pm.: ALL skaters report in costume, ready for warmups
- 3:15 p.m. – 3:25 p.m.: LTS skaters warm up
- 3:25 p.m. – 3:35 p.m.: Low level soloists warm up, adults
- 3:35 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.: Hi level soloists warm up (preliminary level and up)
- 3:45 p.m.: Zamboni ice make
- 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. – SHOW!
- All-cast photo taken on ice in front of curtain immediately following the show
- post show: cleanup!
