Skaters recognized for hard work at club banquet

Sycamore Ice Skating Club held this season’s annual banquet on Saturday, April 16, to recognize our skaters’ accomplishments, socialize with friends and hold a brief business meeting. Skaters received awards for their accomplishments this season, which included competing, taking US Figure Skating tests and assisting with the website. Meg Strickland received the Laughlin Award for her dedication and service to the club. Meg was a huge help with our annual show, new website, Learn to Skate program and junior board. The following club members have been elected as officers for the 2016–17 season: President: Ellie Schuler Vice President: Ann Derheimer Secretary: Amanda Davis Treasurer: Barb Rector     Sycamore’s 2015–16 competitive team Meg, Corinna, Sophia and Rae Caroline Schilling Caroline accepts her competition certificate from Barb Rector. Website team Skaters Sophia Dietz, Brooke Derheimer, Rae Updike and Meg Strickland helped Ellie Schuler with our new website. Enya Lind Enya accepts her competition certificate. Ever since my first group show at Sycamore, I could not wait to have one of my own! Why do you like skating?
